Keeneland's April Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale, highlighted by the $625,000 paid for Wilburn, a colt from the first crop of Bernardini, realized gains in gross sales, median price and number of horses sold.
Keeneland sold 71 horses for gross receipts of $12,013,000, up 1.76 percent from 2009 when 66 horses brought $11,805,000. The average of $169,197 was down 5.4 percent from last year's $178,864, while the median of $135,000 rose 14.89 percent from $117,500 in 2009. The buy-back rate decreased 16.01 percent.
